NEW YORK -- IFF (NYSE: IFF) — a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, health and biosciences — has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, the gold standard for information security management systems (ISMS). The certification, awarded by leading cybersecurity firm A-LIGN, follows a rigorous audit in which IFF demonstrated exceptional maturity in its security practices, completing the process with zero major or minor non-conformities. This milestone reinforces IFF’s commitment to safeguarding customer data, intellectual property and operational integrity enterprise-wide, positioning the company as a trusted partner for customers in highly regulated industries.

“Achieving ISO 27001 certification sends a powerful message to our customers: Their data is protected by world-class security standards,” said Vic Verma, executive vice president, chief information officer at IFF. “This milestone reflects the strength of our systems and the culture of accountability we’ve built to earn and maintain customer trust.”

The certification spans IFF’s business units and core business functions — including legal, commercial, finance, procurement and human resources — and will play a critical role in strengthening customer partnerships, particularly in highly regulated industries such as food, beverage, personal care and pharmaceuticals. By aligning with ISO/IEC 27001:2022, IFF delivers measurable value to its customers:

· Building trust and transparency: Customers gain confidence knowing their data is managed under globally recognized security standards.
· Minimizing risk: Robust controls help prevent data breaches, cyber threats and regulatory violations.
· Accelerating onboarding: Certified security practices streamline vendor assessments and reduce delays in procurement.
· Supporting compliance: ISO 27001 aligns with global data protection laws, helping customers meet their own regulatory obligations.
· Ensuring resilience: The ISMS framework includes disaster recovery and incident response planning, reinforcing business continuity.

IFF’s ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification builds on a strong foundation of globally recognized standards that reinforce the company’s leadership in quality, sustainability and operational excellence. The company maintains ISO certifications across the enterprise covering environmental management systems across global sites, quality management systems, laboratory testing and calibration, and natural ingredient certification, among others.
