SEOUL -- LiveAnywhere, a premier platform specializing in short-term rentals and extended stays, has secured a dominant position in the global short-term rental market by proactively introducing services tailored for international users.

As foreign demand in the domestic rental market continues to rise, LiveAnywhere has been operating its global service since June, systematically accumulating expertise in operations and international customer support.

In June, LiveAnywhere fully implemented a comprehensive multilingual support system (English, Japanese, Chinese, etc.) within its app. Immediately following the launch, the influx of global users surged, delivering tangible results—most notably, transaction volume in the second half of the year more than tripled compared with the initial launch period. Data analysis reveals that despite the typical winter off-peak season, transaction volumes have continued to rise, plotting a classic ‘J-Curve’ growth trajectory.

The platform has attracted users from over 30 countries, including the United States, France, and Japan, for various purposes. It has emerged as a trusted channel for language learners, international students, and the rapidly growing number of tourists seeking K-Beauty and cultural experiences.

The key to this success lay in dismantling actual entry barriers beyond simple language translation. LiveAnywhere resolved the “three major hurdles” faced by foreigners—security deposits, payments, and contracts—by introducing instant overseas card payment systems and simplified sign-up processes without complex authentication.

In fact, overseas card payments now account for approximately 80-90% of all transactions by foreigners. This figure serves as a strong indicator that international users, who previously had to rely on complicated virtual account transfers, rapidly converted to actual purchases once an intuitive and convenient card payment system was introduced.

Further enhancing the service in October, LiveAnywhere introduced a ‘Foreigner-Friendly’ option for hosts. This feature allowed hosts willing to accept international guests to easily increase their exposure. Coupled with the provision of a real-time chat translation feature, the number of accommodations capable of hosting foreigners expanded rapidly, securing a stable supply chain.

Kyuho Jung, CEO of LiveAnywhere, said, “While competitors are just beginning to implement language support, LiveAnywhere has already established a complete ecosystem optimized for extended stays for travelers and short-term rentals for students—covering everything from payments to host matching,” adding “Based on our accumulated global data, we aim to leap forward as Asia's No. 1 short-term rental platform next year.”

Meanwhile, LiveAnywhere plans to continuously expand foreigner-friendly, full-option accommodations in major hub cities such as Seoul, Jeju, and Busan, while intensifying global marketing to capture inbound demand.
