Date: 2025-11-27

DOHA, QATAR -- Qatar Foundation’s Doha Debates is inviting global youth ages 18-26 to apply for the eighth cohort of its international ambassador program. This 12-week virtual experience empowers participants to engage in constructive dialogue, collaborate on solutions to global challenges and form lasting relationships with other emerging leaders. The application deadline is December 15, 2025.

The upcoming cohort begins with a four-week Community of Practice from January 20 to February 10, 2026, followed by the official Ambassador Program from February 17 to April 7, 2026. Participants will take part in weekly online workshops led by facilitation expert Dr. Brandon Ferderer and systems-thinking specialist Jennifer Geist, alongside guest speakers from around the world.

Doha Debates, a production of Qatar Foundation, engages a global community in dialogue to explore shared solutions to the world’s most pressing issues. Launched in 2021 in partnership with Shared Studios, the Doha Debates Ambassador Program has connected hundreds of young people from more than 75 countries.

“Every year since 2021, we’ve been inspired by the young changemakers who join the Doha Debates Ambassador Program eager to engage in truth-seeking dialogue to build a better world,” says Amjad Atallah, managing director of Doha Debates. “We’re thrilled to invite new applicants into this growing community of thinkers and problem-solvers.”

Zaid Malol, a former Doha Debates ambassador and student at the University of Doha for Science and Technology, also praises the program’s commitment to constructive dialogue: “In a world filled with polarization, this program brings back the lost art of healthy conversation.”

Graduates of the ambassador program remain active within the Doha Debates community, representing the organization at global events and mentoring new cohorts.
