Xsolla Connect and Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show Highlight the Region¡¯s Growing Role in Global Game Commerce.
Date: 2025-11-17

BANGKOK -- Xsolla, a global video game commerce company that helps developers launch, grow, and monetize their games, successfully concluded two major events in Thailand: Xsolla Connect Bangkok 2025 and Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025, marking a breakthrough week for the company’s presence in Southeast Asia.

Together, these events united hundreds of industry professionals from across the globe and reinforced Xsolla’s leadership in advancing game commerce, payments innovation, and player engagement throughout one of the fastest-growing regions in the world. The strong attendance, high-level discussions, and new business connections made throughout the week reflected the region’s increasing importance in shaping the global games industry.

Unlike large-scale expos, Xsolla Connect events are designed to create authentic, one-to-one connections between developers, publishers, and investors. The Bangkok edition, held on October 15 at the Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15, hosted over 100 guests from global and regional studios. The event featured keynote sessions from Xsolla executives and local creators, including: bjornzeys, Jubjang Ch, medploy.style, Bhumsmart and Necross Melphist.

The event generated exceptional feedback from attendees, who praised its focused networking opportunities and creative, culturally immersive setting. By providing a platform for open conversation and regional collaboration, Xsolla Connect Bangkok successfully bridged local developer innovation with global industry reach.

Following the success of Xsolla Connect, the company expanded its visibility at Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025, held October 16-19 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. This first-ever combined B2B and B2C gaming event drew over 80,000 visitors across four days, with Xsolla’s booth serving as a key destination for developers and publishers seeking growth solutions tailored to the Asian market.

Xsolla showcased its expanding suite of tools and services, including:

Direct-to-Consumer Commerce: Demonstrations of Xsolla Web Shop, Launcher, and In-Game Store, empowering developers to build independent player ecosystems and boost retention.

Global Payments at Local Scale: Insights into Xsolla Pay Station and Pay Fac, providing seamless transaction support with over 700 payment methods across 200 regions, including Thailand’s leading platforms.

LiveOps and Player Retention: Interactive sessions highlighting the Xsolla LiveOps Management Suite, designed to sustain long-term player engagement across platforms.

Developer Support: One-on-one consultations connecting developers with Xsolla experts to explore funding, marketing, and publishing opportunities.

Further demonstrating Xsolla’s commitment to developer growth and education, Chief Marketing and Growth Officer Berkley Egenes joined the “Breaking Barriers: Expanding Global Game Profit Through Innovative Partnerships” panel at Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025, where he discussed how developers can unlock global opportunities through direct-to-consumer and alternative payment strategies.

Both events produced tangible outcomes, including dozens of new partnership discussions, expanded regional collaborations, and increased awareness of Xsolla’s ecosystem among Southeast Asian studios. The combined week of engagements resulted in hundreds of qualified business meetings, tens of thousands of impressions across social media, and strong regional press coverage, reaffirming Xsolla’s growing footprint in Asia’s thriving game economy.

“Southeast Asia continues to set the pace for innovation and creativity in the global games industry,” said Berkley Egenes, Chief Marketing and Growth Officer at Xsolla. “What we achieved in Bangkok reflects the power of connection between technology and talent, between local culture and global opportunity. The energy we witnessed from developers and partners shows that the future of gaming will be shaped as much here as anywhere else in the world.”

Following the success of these events, Xsolla will expand its Connect series and developer initiatives throughout 2026, including new stops planned across Asia, Europe, and North America. The company remains dedicated to enabling developers of all sizes to grow their businesses through innovative monetization, localized payment solutions, and player-first engagement strategies.
