Date: 2025-04-08

SEOUL -- SuperFreeze, a leader in cold chain logistics, announced the appointment of Mr. Alex Choi as its new Head of Korea, effective March 4, 2025. SuperFreeze is shaping the cold chain of the future, leading Asia’s transition to a sustainable cold chain by increasing the availability of quality food and pharmaceutical products, thereby reducing waste, while also minimizing its carbon footprint.

Alex Choi brings over 25 years of extensive experience in the logistics industry to SuperFreeze. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held senior leadership roles with industry giants such as Maersk Logistics, LF Logistics, Agility, and DB Schenker. Renowned for supporting customers, streamlining supply chains, and driving operational excellence, Alex is perfectly positioned to advance SuperFreeze’s mission in Korea and deliver impactful results in this critical market.

“We are excited to welcome Alex Choi as our new CEO for Korea,” said Troy Shortell, Co-Chief Executive Officer of SuperFreeze. “His deep expertise in logistics and proven leadership across some of the most respected names in the industry make him the ideal leader to accelerate SuperFreeze’s vision of a sustainable and innovative cold chain in Asia.”

“I am truly honored to join SuperFreeze and lead its talented team in Korea,” said Choi. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to enhance our operations, reduce waste, and drive sustainability, ensuring we deliver exceptional value to our customers and communities in Korea.”

Alex Choi succeeds Mr. YS Kim, who is retiring soon after 7 years of dedicated service establishing the Pyeongtaek site and will also assume all the responsibilities previously held by KSF CEO Duckwon Kim. SuperFreeze extends its heartfelt gratitude to both YS and Duckwon for their significant contributions to the company’s growth and success in Korea.
