Madison International Realty Continues Asian Expansion With New Office in South Korea

Appointment of Jun Park as Country Head
Date: 2025-04-06

NEW YORK -- Madison International Realty, a leading real estate private equity firm, announced that it has further expanded its business in Asia with the appointment of Jun Park as Head of South Korea and the opening of its first office in the country. Located in central Seoul, this will be Madison’s eighth global office and its second in Asia, following the opening of the firm’s Singapore office last April.

Park will join Madison to lead the advancement of the firm's interactions with investors in South Korea from the new office in Seoul, which is set to open in Q2. As part of the senior leadership team, Park will work closely with Madison’s President and Founder Ron Dickerman, its global co-heads of equity capital markets Evan Abrams and Michael Siefert, as well as its Head of Asia, Yichao Mark, to progress the firm’s long-term strategy for growth in the region. Initially this will comprise providing a hands-on local service to Madison’s existing South Korean clients, while also seeking to grow its investor relationships in the country and across the region. In the longer term, Park will work with the firm to assess the potential for capital deployment strategies in the region.

Park has more than 14 years of experience in real estate investment, finance and private equity. He joins Madison from Hyundai Marine and Fire Insurance (HDMF) where he led the Real Asset Investment Department as a team leader, managing over $1.3bn of alternatives assets. During his time there he was responsible for investments and capital commitments in about 100 transactions valued at over $2.4bn across a multitude of real estate asset classes, including data centers. Park has an MBA degree from UCLA, a Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering from KAIST and a Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Hanyang University.

“Asia is a strategically important market for Madison’s future growth and today’s announcement marks a further step towards achieving our ambitions to expand in the region. We have a strong existing client base in South Korea and the appointment of Jun alongside the opening of our office in Seoul is the natural next step for our firm, allowing us to strengthen those relationships by providing a local presence that means we can work even more closely with them to help achieve their goals. At the same time, Jun will be seeking to grow our roster of clients, at a time when U.S. and European markets are at a point in the cycle which plays well to our unique investment strategy. I look forward to working with Jun and am pleased to welcome him to the Madison team,” said Ronald Dickerman, Madison International Realty Founder and President.

Madison International Realty specializes in providing liquidity solutions to existing real estate investors worldwide. The firm acquires partial ownership stakes and joint venture interests in prime properties and portfolios in select sectors and major markets in the U.S., U.K., and Western Europe. Madison also provides equity solutions to real estate platforms seeking to retain assets, grow portfolios, and/or raise capital more efficiently.
