Date: 2023-01-20

YONGIN-- January 20, 2023 -- SurplusGLOBAL, a global semiconductor used equipment platform company, will participate in the SEMICON KOREA 2023 exhibition held at COEX for three days from February 1st, 2023. It was reported that the company would introduce a new global semiconductor parts platform along with the existing second-hand semiconductor equipment platform.

CEO of SurplusGLOBAL Bruce Kim said, “We started the ‘Global Parts Platform business’ in earnest by utilizing the existing global equipment distribution network. We have already begun a used parts distribution business targeting many international companies and are on track. SurplusGLOBAL is taking the lead in resolving problems in the global parts supply chain by developing replacement products such as 200mm discontinued parts.”

SurplusGLOBAL operates a semiconductor equipment cluster with a floor space of 70,000 square meters in Yongin and is leaping forward as a global semiconductor equipment hub. It provides component test beds using used equipment, products, and repair solutions related to RF and PCB with EQ GLOBAL. In addition, in cooperation with world-class semiconductor companies, we are building a platform for Korean parts and materials companies to advance overseas.

Over the past 23 years, SurplusGLOBAL has purchased and sold over 50,000 used equipment to more than 5000 customers worldwide, providing the world’s best solution in the used semiconductor equipment field. With the move-in to the Yongin semiconductor equipment cluster, the company plans to grow the semiconductor equipment parts business beyond the equipment business by 2030.

Meanwhile, EQ GLOBAL, a subsidiary of SurplusGLOBAL, is the best semiconductor equipment repair company in Korea, providing customers with a wide range of technical solutions through advances in plasma sources and applied products for semiconductor equipment. In particular, it is strengthening its global sales based on a diverse product lineup that can replace existing overseas products. In this Semicon Korea 2023 exhibition, it will jointly participate with SurplusGLOBAL.
