MegazoneCloud and Hyundai Motor Company Launch New Media Service Platform on Cloud to Deliver New Digital Experiences for Global Customers

Date: 2021-03-08

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA-- March 08, 2021 -- MegazoneCloud, a leading cloud managed service provider based in South Korea, announced a collaboration with Hyundai Motor Company (KRX: 005380) to launch a new media service platform ‘Channel Hyundai’ to provide a new digital customer experience and communication channel amid global pandemic.

Previously, on last September 15, Hyundai Motor Company unveiled Channel Hyundai, which is an interactive app for smart TVs featuring multimedia content that allows customers to experience the brand via a digital interface. The app provides three categories — Live, TV and Models with more features to be added in the future. Channel Hyundai has provided the live streaming for the world premiere of the all-new 2021 Hyundai Tucson and the launch of XCIENT Fuel Cell, the world’s first mass-produced fuel cell heavy-duty truck on October 14, 2020. With this channel, Hyundai Motor will be able to deliver hundreds of its high-quality branded video content enhanced digital experience to customers worldwide.

From the onset, Hyundai Motor designed the Channel Hyundai as a cloud-optimized architecture and shifted away from the legacy media platforms and partnered with MegazoneCloud, which provided the expertise in both cloud and digital media services. The two teams significantly reduced the time to market and delivered a multi-platform service that can stream dynamic content to a growing number of global audiences.

“Channel Hyundai was designed on cloud to deliver a seamless, immersive digital experience of our vehicles and contents to our global customers. MegazoneCloud has helped us successfully build this platform from the initial design to implementation,” a Hyundai Motor representative said.

“Businesses worldwide are asked to adopt video services to transform customer experience in sales, marketing, training and many areas of the business operation,” said Willy Cho, CEO of MegazoneCloud. “We’re very pleased to help Hyundai Motor Company to launch a global video streaming service platform on AWS with the much reduced service launch timeline and increased values to the global customers.”

MegazoneCloud is accelerating its expansion into Asian markets such as Japan, Hong Kong and Vietnam, propelled by its recent success in raising $122M Series B funding. The company provides digital media consulting services and a cloud-based video management platform, CloudPlex Media, to help customers enable new digital customer engagement capabilities that are increasingly becoming popular during the COVID-19 pandemic.
