SEOUL, Korea – October 31, 2019 –  Capital expenditure in the third quarter was KRW 6.1 trillion. This brings the total spent in the year to date to KRW 16.8 trillion, including KRW 14 trillion for the Semiconductor Business and KRW 1.3 trillion for the Display Business.

Total capex for 2019 is expected to be similar to that of last year at approximately KRW 29 trillion, with KRW 23.3 trillion allocated to the Semiconductor Business and KRW 2.9 trillion the to the Display Business.

The majority of the fourth quarter capital expediture is earmarked for building memory infrastructure to address mid- to long-term demand. The Company will also invest to expand the capacity of the EUV 7nm process and push forward with our investment plan for QD-Displays.
