DoubleTree by Hilton Introduces its Newest South Carolina Hotel, Conveniently Located Across from the North Charleston Convention Center

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. & MCLEAN, Va.--()--DoubleTree by Hilton, one of Hilton Worldwide’s (NYSE: HLT) twelve market-leading brands, today debuted DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston – Convention Center, a 142-room hotel located across the street from the North Charleston Convention Center, two miles from Charleston International Airport and 10 miles from historic downtown Charleston. Formerly the Holiday Inn Charleston Airport & Convention Center, the property completed a four million dollar renovation that includes a complete redesign of the lobby, guestrooms and restaurant. DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston – Convention Center is owned by Lowcountry Hotels and managed by Fennell Holdings.

Guests staying at DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston – Convention Center will enjoy a relaxing retreat marked by an interior featuring suspended wood sculptures, marbled quartz and hardwood accents. The hotel’s sophisticated design is inspired by Charleston’s calming beaches and relaxed culture, and includes a soothing color palette of grays, whites and blues and artwork that depicts iconic local landmarks such as Waterfront Park’s Pineapple Fountain. The hotel’s 24-hour business center, 24-hour fitness center, seasonal outdoor pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and complimentary area shuttle service are all designed to meet guests’ every need during their stay.

A variety of food and beverage options are conveniently offered on-property. Indigo Restaurant and Lounge features seasonal fare with Lowcountry specialties such as shrimp and grits, fried chicken with seasonal fruit chutney, fresh pastas, steaks and salads, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant serves craft beer and offers guests a daily happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., featuring specials on house beverages and small plates and can be converted into a private dining space outside of breakfast hours. The Made Market Pantry is open 24-hours a day providing guests with grab-and-go options from sandwiches and salads to sweet and salty snacks, coffee, and assorted juices. For guests preferring to dine in the comfort of their guest room, room service is available for all day dining.

With 4,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, including a 1,600-square-foot ballroom, DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston – Convention Center is suited to accommodate varying wedding, meeting and conference needs for up to 120 people. The hotel’s premier outdoor space can be tented to create memorable events on either the back patio or Tiki Patio. Among the hotel’s meeting rooms is the AIRO Boardroom which boasts video-conferencing technology and a touch-screen Creston Control panel used to easily adjust AV equipment, room lighting settings and presentations. For smaller group meetings, the hotel offers the Meetings Simplified by DoubleTree by Hilton package from $25 per person, which includes the meeting room, basic meeting Wi-Fi, meeting room supplies such as flipcharts, markers, etc., and all day non-alcoholic beverage service. Catering services and a dedicated events staff are available to ensure every event is truly special.
