Wehome Opens New Era of Hands-Free Travel in Korea

Launches AI-Powered ¡°Wehome Keep¡±
Date: 2026-05-25

SEOUL -- Wehome has officially launched “Wehome Keep”, its AI-powered hands-free luggage storage service, opening a new era of more convenient and seamless travel experiences in Korea.

Wehome Keep is a service that safely stores travelers’ luggage at partner locations, including homestays, cafés, and local shops. Travelers can freely enjoy sightseeing, shopping, dining, meetings, and local experiences before check-in or after check-out without carrying heavy bags.

Following successful government regulatory sandbox verification, Wehome has become the only government-approved home-sharing platform in Korea. Building on its strong local network and operational expertise, the company is accelerating the development of AI-powered travel services designed specifically for international visitors.

Through the launch of Wehome Keep, Wehome aims to evolve beyond a traditional home-sharing platform into a “K-Lifestyle Sharing Platform.” The company plans to connect home, transportation, luggage storage, and local experiences into one seamless travel ecosystem for visitors to Korea.

In particular, guests who book a unique and certified home through Wehome will receive Wehome Keep services free of charge or at discounted rates, strengthening Wehome’s differentiated local concierge services compared to global travel platforms.

Wehome Keep also enhances the user experience with AI-powered conversational search. Travelers can naturally search for services using prompts such as “Recommend a place to store luggage near Hongdae,” or “I want to leave my suitcase before shopping in Myeongdong.” The platform plans to further expand recommendation features based on location, time, and travel itinerary.

Jo SanKu, CAIO (Chief AI Officer) of Wehome, said, “While a leading global home sharing platform has focused primarily on lodging reservations themselves, Wehome is evolving into a platform that connects the entire travel experience in Korea. Based on the trust of being a government-approved home sharing and our strong local network, we aim to help international travelers enjoy the Korean lifestyle living locally.”

Byun Suyeon, Manager of Keep service, added, “Wehome Keep is more than just a luggage storage service. It is a core travel infrastructure designed to enable truly hands-free travel in Korea. By combining AI-powered recommendations with local partnerships, we are continuously enhancing the service so travelers can naturally discover and experience Korea’s diverse neighborhoods, culture, and lifestyle.”

Wehome Keep also creates new revenue opportunities for local businesses with unused space, such as cafés, retail stores, and restaurants. Without requiring additional investment, partners can generate extra income from idle space while also benefiting from increased exposure and sales driven by international visitors.

Wehome is currently recruiting Wehome Keep partners primarily in the Hongdae area and plans to gradually expand service coverage throughout Korea. Existing Wehome hosts will be prioritized as partners to help them generate additional revenue while strengthening service reliability and trust.

Looking ahead, Wehome plans to expand into airport-linked VAN transportation services, local tours, shopping and restaurant partnerships, and concierge services for long-term travelers as part of its broader “AI-powered K-Lifestyle Sharing Platform” strategy.
