Skyhigh Security Boosts DSPM to Aid DPDPA Compliance, Strengthening Data Protection Across Asia Pacific

Expanded offering addresses complex privacy and regulatory requirements.
Date: 2026-01-10

BANGALORE, INDIA -- Skyhigh Security, the leader in data-first Secure Service Edge, announced the launch of its actionable, intelligent and risk-focused data visibility and compliance dashboard as part of Skyhigh DSPM’s Data Explorer. In April 2025, Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) was officially integrated into Skyhigh Security’s SSE framework, to provide visibility into where data resides within cloud environments. Taking things a step further, the new dashboard delivers unified, real-time visibility into an enterprise’s data security posture across hybrid and cloud environments, empowering organizations to maintain compliance across an increasingly complex landscape of global privacy and data regulatory laws.

“Skyhigh Security plays a vital role in protecting our critical information assets and IT infrastructure,” said Labraj Bohara, Group Information Security Officer at Settlement Services International (SSI). “As data regulations grow more complex, Skyhigh’s data visibility and compliance dashboard gives us the insight to stay ahead by turning compliance into a proactive advantage through stronger data posture and faster resolution.”

Compliance is a global challenge. Around the world, enterprises are contending with overlapping and fast-evolving data-protection and compliance mandates like India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and the latest 2025 revision to the Australia Privacy Act (APA), among others. Adhering to global regulatory requirements brings a heightened level of complexity for organizations to navigate. DPDPA, in particular, mandates that organizations not only protect data but know where personal data lives and be able to continuously prove it—but implementation can vary across industries. Similarly, Australian Privacy Principles (APP) has enhanced measures to protect personal information and transparency obligations around data loss and breaches.

Skyhigh Security’s DSPM capabilities along with the new data visibility and compliance dashboard support this shift by helping organizations:

·Identify personal and sensitive data across cloud apps, storage platforms, and collaboration tools.
·Classify this data consistently, using AI-driven and intelligent classification methods.
·Continuously monitor data locations, movement, and exposure risks.
·Highlight where data handling practices may create operational privacy or security risk.

Skyhigh DSPM further enhances customers' existing governance, risk and compliance (GRC) framework by giving visibility into data and also applying critical controls around sensitive information to enable compliance with regulatory frameworks such as DPDPA.

“Across the Asia and Pacific (APJ) region, compliance readiness has become a boardroom conversation,” said Karthik Viswanathan, Vice President of Sales, APJ, Skyhigh Security. “The data visibility and compliance dashboard allows enterprises to visualize their global compliance posture whether it’s Australia’s Privacy Act, India’s DPDPA, Singapore’s PDPA, the UK’s GDPR, or any other framework and to act on insights instantly. Visibility is the new accountability.”

Powered by Skyhigh SSE, the data visibility and compliance dashboard for DSPM provides the following capabilities:

·Comprehensive Data Classification and inventory: Provides continuous identification and classification of sensitive data across on-premises, cloud, and SaaS workloads.
·AI & ML-Driven False Positive Reduction: Intelligent analytics minimize noise and false alerts, accelerating compliance-audit investigations and improving response efficiency for SOC teams.
·Risk-Based Scoring: Quantifies data exposure by integrating contextual factors (geography, data type) along with SSPM misconfiguration findings to prioritize remediation efforts based on services, users, and business units.
·Audit-Ready Reporting: Provides detailed evidence logs and dashboards for auditors, regulators, and executives.
·Designed for everyone: From everyday admins to advanced investigators; Skyhigh DSPM’s Data Explorer delivers intuitive navigation alongside powerful query capabilities, enabling any user to quickly uncover data risks and accelerate threat investigations.
