Anna Joohye Kim, 2022 Toastmasters District 93 Conference Chair, thirteen committee chairs, and committee members are preparing the conference with the hope that attendees could meet Talented Toastmasters and Inspiriting people online, encounter new ideas and Gain Enthusiasm, and give a Roar of approval to the community of Toastmasters in South Korea (TIGER).

The “AWAKEN YOUR TIGER” conference will provide a broad program with two keynote speeches, six practical workshops, International and Korean speech contests, and music performances. Aaron W. Beverly, 2019 World Champion of Public Speaking, and Jana Barnhill, Past International President, and Accredited Speaker, will be attending as honorable keynote speakers. Also, Invited Speaker Workshops from three District Directors, Khurram Salman (Bahrain), Arnaud Sartre (United Kingdom), and Elena Paweta (Poland), will help to bridge cross-cultural differences at this year’s conference. To enhance understanding between domestic and international participants, simultaneous interpretation service will be provided for the first time in District 93 history.

The District 93 International and Korean speech contests will be the conference’s highlights. The 14th (Korean) and 15th (International) programs will host these thrilling speaking competitions. The national champion of the International speech contest will also have the honor of representing South Korea in the Toastmasters Region 14 speech competition, where they will compete alongside winners from China, Hong Kong, Japan, the Philippines, and Taiwan.

There will be grand opening performances by a music band and a saxophonist to make the conference even more exciting. This year’s event will live up to the spirit of the TIGER year, unleashing the District 93 Toastmasters potential and instilling a strong sense of community among all attendees.
