2021 Taiwan Innotech Expo Syncs Physical and Online Exhibits, Piloting Innovation Through Both Real and Virtual Environments and Spearheading Taiwan¡¯

´º½ºÀÏÀÚ: 2021-10-26

TAIPEI, TAIWAN-- October 26, 2021 -- The 2021 Taiwan Innotech Expo held its grand opening on October 14th this year, marking the first year that the Expo integrated both virtual and physical environments to hold three themed expositions online and offline. Among them was the “Innovation Pilot” Pavilion, which focused on innovative technologies implementable in industries within the next 5 years. Apart from technology displays, the exposition also branched out to international forums, technology presentations, and more. This Expo invited everyone to a technological symposium populated with over 300 inventions.

The TIE Virtual Platform Led Interdisciplinary Collaborations and Connections with the World

As the pandemic experienced a slowdown, the event host and organizers decided to bring back the familiar physical displays, and the Industrial Development Bureau put 45 innovative technologies on display, as well as many creative highlights online. The interface for the online exhibitions this time was very intuitive and easy to use. Visitors could immediately see four major contents arranged in a pull-down menu: specially-themed virtual exhibits, technology forums, technology presentations, and technological focuses. Visitors could view a large number of professional, technical clips, and there were walls dedicated to media that allowed visitors to bask in an innovation-rich assemblage of information.

From Tech Forums to Tech Presentations: Innovation Pilot Pavilion Enriches Your Day with Knowledge

In the Innovation Pilot Pavilion, the Industrial Development Bureau hosted three exciting technology presentations and matchmaking conferences, with the first theme on the day of its grand opening being “Smart Innovation.” As for the other two conferences, titled “Zero Touch Pandemic Prevention” and “Green Manufacturing”, these were held on October 19th and 22nd, respectively. On the day following the grand opening (October 15th), there was the much-anticipated innovative technology forum, which included domestic and international IP experts from TSMC and MediaTek — all here to help decipher the new 5G economy. Virtual exhibits and forums continued online after the physical exhibits, and the 8th Innovative Technology Strategic Partnership conference, led by the Department of Industrial Technology on October 21st, featured the heads of scientific development from five countries: the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. Experts in government, business, academia, and research institutes from Taiwan and abroad came together to discuss the post-pandemic development of technology, aiming to open up a new round of technological exchanges between Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries on the topic of emerging technologies in the post-pandemic era.

Production and Research Join Hands to Bring Sharp, Sleek Creative Tech in Six Major Fields

The Industrial Development Bureau, the Department of Industrial Technology, the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, the National Development Council, and the Ministry of National Defense used their whole bag of tricks in presenting the innovative masterpieces of Taiwan’s industrial sector, displaying technological innovations across six areas: Smart Manufacturing, Digital Transformation, Smart Living, Advanced Medicine, Defense & Aerospace, and Tech Treasures, demonstrating Taiwan’s incredible potential for research and development and its worldwide reach.

The Industrial Development Bureau also called for the 14 representative small and medium enterprises handpicked by the Ministry of Economic Affairs to display their newest products and services at the physical exhibition, including the following companies: First, Highlight Tech Corp, which was the first supplier of vacuum subsystem technology and service to go public in Taiwan. During the Expo, Highlight Tech Corp displayed its IoT-based status monitoring solution for semiconductor equipment, as well as a smart exhaust monitoring system. Having made its start in traditional mold processing, Gudeng continued to upgrade its technology and successfully crossed over into the semiconductor industry in 1999. This time, Gudeng exhibited its EUV Pod, which plays an important role in advanced semiconductor processes. Finally, Buffalo Machinery Co. displayed its AXILE G8, which may be integrated into a smart factory system to ensure a 24-hour automated operation free from unexpected downtime.

This 2021 Taiwan Innotech Expo featured 3D exhibits of cutting-edge technologies, technology forums, technology presentations, and other exciting activities every single day until its closing. TIE extended invitations to all to come and familiarize themselves with cutting-edge technology, develop insights into global market dynamics, and engage in collaborative business opportunities. The 2021 Taiwan Innotech Expo simultaneously held physical and virtual exhibitions on October 14th to reveal new technology and foster commercial discussions both online and offline.
