Fleet of Mobile Water Treatment Systems to Double by 2030 as Asian Companies Plans to Minimize Water Related Downtime: Fact.MR

China, Japan at the Epicenter of Mobile Water Treatment Systems Sales Growth in Asia.
´º½ºÀÏÀÚ: 2021-10-08

DUBAI-- October 08, 2021 -- As per a study conducted by Fact.MR, the global mobile water treatment systems market is anticipated to surpass a valuation of US$ 3.62 Bn by 2030. Rising awareness about the benefits of water treatment and growing per capita income, especially in China and Japan, will enable growth in the market at a CAGR of 8.9% between 2020 and 2030.

Rising demand for uncontaminated water in manufacturing and processing industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and power & energy is expected to spur the sales in the market by 2.4X, creating an absolute dollar opportunity of over US$ 1.9 Bn through 2030.

Mobile desalination units are increasingly used in water-stressed areas and during the emergency caused by natural hazards such as floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes. In addition to this, growing awareness about diseases caused by drinking contaminated water such as lead poisoning, diarrhea, chlorella, and others are anticipated to drive the mobile water treatment systems market.

Most of the processing industries depend on water for vital operations such as steam blows, boiler feed water, and cooling. These industries tend to incur huge losses during downtime caused by the lack of water supply. Thus, a number of medium and small-scale industries are increasingly installing mobile water treatment facilities, owing to their attributes such as cost-effective, reliable, fast purification of high amount quality water.

Several countries are extensively investing in the development of wastewater treatment infrastructures and water management projects. For instance, as per a report by the International Trade Administration, China accounts for nearly 21% of the global population and 6% of the world’s freshwater.

To ensure access to contamination free water to all, the government in China has outlined a strategy to invest an additional US$ 18.5 Bn in wastewater treatment projects across rural areas. Such government initiatives are expected to drive the market in the Asia Pacific.

“Various industries are increasingly investing in temporary water treatment facilities to create a back-up option for companies to provide uncontaminated water for critical times that may cause water shortage. This is expected to create impressive scope for the expansion of the market,” says a Fact.MR analyst.

Japan to Give Tailwinds to Asia Pacific Mobile Water Treatment Systems Market Growth

In response to the rise in prevalence of waterborne illnesses such as diarrhea, lead poisoning, and stomach ache, Japan has implemented several guidelines encouraging water treatment. This is driving the market growth.

According to a report published by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Waste Management and Public Cleaning Law in Japan mandated that the local government to build wastewater treatment plans for their local municipalities.

As per the mandate, several municipalities across Japan are undertaking a number of wastewater concession projects. They are entering into an agreement with water treatment providing companies to offer clean water for drinking and other uses.

For instance, Japan’s Miyagi Concession Prefecture announced entering into a contract with METAWATER Co., Ltd and Veolia, a consortium of 8 other local partners for management, operation, and renewal of the water services for household water production, sewage treatment, and industrial water production.

A number of companies in the country are focusing on launching new products to address the increasing demand for uncontaminated water. For instance, Toray Industries, Inc., multinational corporation headquartered in Japan, announced launching its new under-sink hollow fiber membrane-based filters, Torayvino® Branch.

It is the first water purification system in Japan capable of switching between tap and purified water by just lifting a faucet lever. Favored by these factors, the market in Japan is expected to expand at a rapid pace during the assessment year 2020 to 2030.
