Asia Robotic End of Arm Tools (EOAT) Market: Japan, South Korea Take the Lead in Advanced Technologies

´º½ºÀÏÀÚ: 2021-05-20

DUBAI-- May 20, 2021 -- Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 4.0, and Open Industrial System Architectures will be the three key factors driving demand for robotic end of arm tools (EOAT) in Asia, according to a survey conducted by Fact.MR with manufacturers, suppliers, and end-users. The survey, part of Fact.MR’s comprehensive robotic end of arm tools market report finds wearable technologies and advanced cybersecurity to have minimal impact on robotic end of arm tool sales.

According to the study, robotic end of arm tools market in Asia has grown consistently at 8%-9%. Sales were set to rise at a higher pace, but COVID-19 induced slowdown has created bottlenecks.

However, as China, Japan, and South Korea are among the countries on a recovery path, future robotic EOAT sales are likely to maintain momentum.

“Robotic end of arm tool manufacturers in China, Japan, and South Korea are taking early leads. As automation is likely to penetrate industries and factories, investment in robotic EOAT will grow,” says lead analyst at Fact.MR.

Japan: The Fastest Growing Robotic End of Arm Tools Market in Asia

According to Fact.MR’s analysis, Japan will the fastest growing market for robotic EOAT in Asia. Japanese robotic end of arm tool manufacturers are incorporating the latest technology to developing advanced products.

Robotic end of arm tool manufacturers are focusing on providing solutions compatible with a range of workpieces. Manufacturer focus is also toward something related to low-cost and maintenance. Furthermore, Fact.MR’s research on robotic end of arm tool sales found that manufacturers are offering products in different payloads.

“Owing to diverse requirements, robotic end of arm tool companies are going as low as 1 kg in terms of payload capacity. There is an understanding that many end-users prefer to getting lightweight tasks done by robots, so effective options need to be there,” says the Fact.MR analyst.

In addition to specific factors, demand for robotic end of arm tools is also likely to gain impetus on account of the shift of global supply chain to Asia. Many companies in the region have established ties with manufacturers from Europe and US.

China, the world’s largest manufacturing hub, continues to strengthen its supply chain. Japan and South Korea are maintaining their leads as hubs for innovation and advanced technologies. Other Asian countries such as India, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Malaysia are relaxing their policies to attract foreign investment.

The growing focus on industrialization, combined with investment in factory automation in Asia is likely to provide an impetus to robotic end of arm tools market during the assessment period.

The Fact.MR study also profiles leading players in the robotic end of arm tools market, including EMI Corporation, FIPA Gmbh, ASS End of Arm Tools, Inc., Bastian Solutions LLC, DESTACO, ABB Ltd., J.H. Benedict Co. Inc., Festo AG & Co. KG, SCHUNK GmbH & Co. KG, OnRobot A/S, Soft Robotics Inc., IPR - Intelligente Peripherien fuer Roboter GmbH.
