Enevate Reveals Unique eBoost¢â Feature for Li-ion Batteries with HD-Energy¢ç Technology

IRVINE, CALIF.--(Business Wire/Korea Newswire) March 31, 2015 -- Enevate Corporation (www.enevate.com), a technology leader in Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, announces its unique eBoost™ Feature for their batteries with HD-Energy® Technology (http://goo.gl/jvzjVO).

The eBoost Feature immediately delivers up to 25% additional energy when needed for infrequent on-demand situations. Enevate’s HD-Energy Technology (http://goo.gl/jvzjVO) already delivers up to 25% higher energy density for everyday use in smartphones, tablets, ultra-thin/hybrid notebook PCs, and wearables. With the eBoost Feature activated, Enevate batteries now have up to 50% more total battery capacity versus a conventional battery of the same size.

Enevate’s new eBoost Feature allows a mobile device that is running low on battery capacity an on-demand option to access an additional 25% reserve capacity available in the battery. For example, an Enevate battery with HD-Energy Technology can deliver 4000 mAh capacity compared to an identical sized conventional Li-ion battery of 3200 mAh capacity, both with a 3.3V shutdown voltage where the device’s fuel gauge would normally show empty. When the eBoost feature is activated, up to 25% additional capacity in the battery below the 3.3V shutoff voltage would be allowed to discharge for a total of 4800 mAh.

Enevate’s HD-Energy Technology (http://goo.gl/jvzjVO) provides significantly higher energy density Li-ion batteries by utilizing a novel silicon-dominant composite anode film that has four times the energy density of conventional graphite anodes commonly used. This enables cell designs today up to 700-800 Wh/L core energy density. The eBoost Feature can increase this to over 900 Wh/L.
